Chraymac Training Systems
Not Games, It's Training! Most often the people who use our Training Systems are convinced they are games, because they have fun. We use a random generation of scenarios and their outcomes, based on the roll of the dice, because it most closely approximates the realities the responders are faced with. We have modeled our problems on real life situatuions and their outcomes so it is a more realistic training than the general, "we'll simulate that we", that most trainings are riddled with. One of the advantages is, it isn't limited to use with the included models, it can and has been done, with actual full size rigs and responders. It is a scripted training in that, the occurences are predetermined, and their outcomes are decided at the time, by rolling a die or two. Now you might think at first that a very careful team with training and equipment would do a near perfect job and things would as a rule go well, great! That's a really great attitude, and if supported by training and equipment and leadership, it is a formula for likely success. But as everyone in our realm realises, chance plays a role, a significant role, in the outcome of our daily endeavors. And this training system strives to mirror that reality. |
All Around the Table You know how it is, the one guy with all the questions. "Well, what if there is a sudden release, what if it spills, what if, what if ?" How do you handle that person? I roll a die! Two dice if the response requires it, you know, more than 6 possible outcomes. It's all covered in the scenario generator. This keeps it from being personal, just happened because of the roll of the dice, just like the majority of our real life responses. |
